Position Description: Director of Nursing OR- OR Nurses are a special breed. Their skills and talents are the core of acute care services and the building blocks for organizational growth and development. Our client, a new, state of the art, 200 bed facility in Phoenix, is seeking a Director of Nursing for OR to provide guidance and direction for OR services. Reporting to the DON and overseeing the activities of 50 FTEs performing over 300 procedures a month, this pivotal position will have both local and regional responsibilities relative to growth, improved patient care as well as clinical and business development.

Requirements: Current RN license and Master’s degree in Nursing or Business is preferred although a strong candidate with a BSN with exceptional management experience will be considered. Communication skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution, demonstrated ability to organize projects, motivate staff and manage to objectives is required for success in this position. With patient centered care and skills for successfully integrating the needs of business and health service, the selected candidate will have the opportunity to grow as the organization grows.

Experienced sonographer must be able to work independently and will be expected to perform pelvic/OB, abdominal, venous and carotid studies. Able to interact with a variety of patient ages. Maintains patient confidentiality, respects hospital anchors and follows policies. No call or no weekend rotation. Equipment used is GE Logic 9 averaging about 10 patients per day per tech. Must be RDMS and RVT with knowledge of M-Mode, pulse and color Doppler, and real time techniques.
